Yuanqing Temple, Changhua

Of the temples in Taiwan honoring the Jade Emperor back in the Qing Dynasty, the Yuanqing Temple is the most famous one. It was first erected in the 28th year of the emperor Qianlong in 1763 by a few people came from Chuanchcu area of southern China. The mountain-shape roof in the form of ceremonial arch of the front hall makes the entire building look glamorous. The dynamic construction of the pair of blue stones lion, the brick sculpture, and the pottery on the porch are all masterpieces of civil arts.
